Biography
Alice Becker exhibited a gouache painting entitled, "Harbor," at the Fine Arts Festival
which ran from March 31 – April 7, 1962. At the time Becker was an independent artist living and working
in Dubuque, Iowa. The painting was purchased by Jan and Warren Berg of Decorah, Iowa, and donated to the
Fine Arts Collection in 1997. The painting is a scene of Dubuque, Iowa, with the boat harbor and city
skyline which includes the landmark building, Hotel Julien.
