Biography
Michael Flor was born on April 29, 1941. He exhibited his etching, “Still Life,” in the Fine Arts
Festival of December 5-15, 1965. An exhibit of prints, watercolors and drawings which was a component of the
Festival, was held in the Luther College Centennial Union Gallery. Flor graduated from St. Cloud State University
in 1967 with a major in art and a minor in history. While studying there, he was a student of William Ellingson,
an artist also represented in the Fine Arts Collection. Flor went on to become an Account Executive with Tanaka
and Company, an advertising and marketing graphics company located in Minneapolis. Michael Flor died on June 17,
2004.
